Create a project

A project is one thing you track: a brand, a product launch, a campaign or a competitor. Its keywords decide which posts are kept, and its sources decide where Lantfly looks.

Create the project

  1. In the Console, open Listening and click New project.
  2. Enter a Name (for example "Velyniq — Fall campaign") and an optional Description.
  3. Pick an Industry from the suggestions or type your own.
  4. Fill in Must contain one of with your brand names, product names or campaign tags.
  5. Optional: open More options: context keywords, exclusions, languages, dates (see below).
  6. Optional: turn on Crawl historical data and choose How far back.
  7. Click Create. You land on the project, ready to add sources.

You need the listening.manage permission to create projects. The number of projects you can have depends on your plan (see Limits and billing).

Keywords

Three lists decide whether a collected post goes into the feed. Matching ignores case and keeps Vietnamese accents. Keywords are searched in the caption, the hashtags, and the author's handle and name.

Field in the formAPI fieldEffect
Must contain one ofinclude_keywordsStandalone keywords. A post with any of them matches.
Contextual keywordscontextual_keywordsCount only when the post also has one of the context keywords.
Only together withcontext_keywordsThe context for contextual keywords. They never match on their own.
Skip posts containingexclude_keywordsA post with any of them is dropped. Checked first.

A post is kept when it has a standalone keyword, or a contextual keyword together with a context keyword, and no excluded keyword. For example, a contextual keyword "Lan Ngọc" with the context "Running Man" only keeps posts that mention both.

Leave all keyword lists empty to keep everything the sources find.

Exceptions to the keyword filter
  • Posts from your owned accounts are always kept unless they contain an excluded keyword.
  • Comments are not checked against the include keywords (their post already matched); excluded keywords still apply.
  • Reviews from review sources skip the include keywords and languages; excluded keywords still apply.
  • Posts you add by link are kept as they are.

Languages

Pick the Languages mentions must be in (for example Vietnamese and English). Lantfly uses the language the platform reports, or guesses it from the text. Mentions in other languages are skipped when collected. When the language is unclear (very short text, Vietnamese typed without accents) the mention is kept. No language selected means every language.

Tracking window

Track from and Track until are calendar days in the project's timezone, both included.

  • Before Track from, nothing is collected; the first collection starts at midnight on that day.
  • After Track until, the project becomes Completed automatically.
  • Leave either empty for no limit.

The project's dashboard opens on the last 30 days of the tracking window.

Crawl historical data

Normal collections read the recent posts a hashtag or profile shows. With Crawl historical data, the first collection of every source reads further back: 7, 30, 90, 180 or 365 days.

  • You choose it when creating the project; it cannot be changed later.
  • The maximum is 365 days, or a lower limit set by your plan.
  • A historical crawl is a bigger run and is billed like any collection.
  • The project header and each source show historical crawl badges while it is waiting, running or if it could not finish. A source retries its historical crawl up to 3 times, then continues with normal collections.

Collection interval

On the Settings tab, Collect every sets how often the sources are read. The default is every 6 hours; the shortest interval is 15 minutes. Each collection starts one run per active source, so a shorter interval costs more.

Project status

StatusMeaningHow it gets there
ActiveCollected on its intervalNew project, Resume tracking
PausedNot collected, can be resumedPause tracking
CompletedThe tracking window has endedAutomatic after Track until
StoppedTracking ended by you. Mentions, analytics and reports stayStop tracking

Use the tracking menu in the project header to pause, resume or stop. To resume a completed project, first move Track until later or clear it. Collect now only works on active projects.

Timezone

Days on the dashboard, in campaigns, in reports and in schedules are calendar days in the project's timezone, not UTC. The default is Asia/Ho_Chi_Minh. You can change it with the API: PATCH /listening/projects/{project} with a timezone such as Asia/Bangkok.

Delete a project

Settings → Danger zone → Delete project deletes the project with its sources and mentions. Deleting needs the listening.manage permission on the account; a project manager role alone is not enough. To hand the project to someone else instead, see Move a project.

With the API

Create a project
curl -X POST https://lantfly.com/api/v3/listening/projects \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LANTFLY_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"name": "Velyniq — Fall campaign",
"category": "Beauty",
"include_keywords": ["velyniq", "#velyniqfall"],
"exclude_keywords": ["giveaway"],
"languages": ["vi", "en"],
"track_from": "2026-11-01",
"interval_minutes": 360,
"backfill_days": 30
}'

The first collection runs within the next minute. More examples are in the Listening API.
