Organizations

An organization is a shared account. Its actors, runs, storages, proxy, plan, credit and invoices belong to the organization, not to any one person. Members sign in with their own Lantfly account and then work in the organization. What they create belongs to it.

Nobody signs in to an organization directly, and an organization cannot be a member of another one.

Create an organization

  1. Open Account settings → Organizations (https://lantfly.com/team), or open the account switcher in the sidebar and choose New organization.
  2. Enter a Name and click Create.

You become its owner and the dashboard switches to it. Each person can own up to 10 organizations.

note

Organization runs need the owner's email to be verified.

Convert your personal account into an organization

Use this when the actors, runs and data already in your personal account should now be shared with a team.

  1. Open Account settings → Organizations → Convert to organization.
  2. Click Convert this account to an organization, enter the Organization name, your Password and your Two-factor code (if it is on), and confirm.
  3. You are signed out. Sign in again with the same email and password. You land in a new personal account that owns the organization.

What happens:

Stays with the organization (same ID)Moves to your new personal account
Actors and their namespace, runs, storages, schedules, webhooksEmail, password, two-factor setup
Plan, credit, invoices, earnings, referral codeLanguage, theme, session lifetime
Username and public profileNotification choices and notification history

API tokens keep working as organization tokens created by you. AI apps connected through OAuth are disconnected; connect them again for the organization.

danger

Conversion cannot be undone. It is not available while you are a member of any organization: leave or hand over those first.

Switch accounts

The account switcher at the top of the sidebar lists your personal account, your organizations and, for agencies, client workspaces. Choose one and every page (actors, runs, storage, billing) shows that account.

In the API, send the organization ID in the X-Lantfly-Account header with a personal token, or use a token created inside the organization. See Organizations in the API and API tokens.

List the runs of an organization with a personal token
curl https://lantfly.com/api/v3/runs \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $LANTFLY_TOKEN" \
-H "X-Lantfly-Account: 1234"

If you are removed from the organization, the API answers 403 with the header X-Lantfly-Account-Revoked: 1.

Your personal settings (profile, email, password, two-factor, sessions, account deletion) always stay yours, whichever account you work in.

Invite people

  1. Switch to the organization and open Team.
  2. Under Invite someone, enter the Email, choose a Role and click Send.
Role you can grantWho can grant it
AdminOwner only
Member or any custom roleOwner and admins
A custom role whose permissions are all within your ownMembers with team.manage

The person gets an email and accepts after signing in with that address (verified). Invitations sent to you are shown at the top of Team (with a count on the menu), where you can Accept or Decline. Invitations expire after 7 days.

Open invitations lists pending ones. Use Send the invitation again (new link and expiry) or Cancel invitation.

tip

People without a Lantfly account can sign up with the invited email from the invitation link, even when public sign-up is closed.

An invitation stops counting if the person who sent it leaves the team or loses team.manage. It is no longer listed and cannot be accepted, but can still be declined.

Seats

Seats are members plus open invitations. The Team page shows X of Y seats used. The limit comes from the organization's plan:

PlanFreeStarterProScaleBusiness
Team seats35101550

When all seats are used, upgrade the plan or remove someone (or cancel an invitation) to invite more. See Billing.

Manage members

On Team, owners and admins can:

  • Change role: Admin (owner only), Member, or a custom role. See Roles and permissions.
  • Remove a member. They lose access at once, and the API tokens they created for the organization stop working. Members with team.manage can remove members, but not admins.

Any member except the owner can Leave organization. That also revokes the API tokens they created for it.

Members get an email when their role changes, when they are removed, and when they receive ownership.

Organization settings

Owners and admins can change, under Settings:

SettingNotes
NameThe organization's display name
Billing emailWhere payment emails go. It cannot be changed after the first payment has been made with it

Transfer ownership

  1. Team → Danger zone → Transfer ownership.
  2. Choose the new owner (they must already be a member) and confirm.

The new owner gets full control, including deleting the organization. You become an admin.

Delete an organization

Only the owner can delete it: Team → Danger zone → Delete organization, then type the organization name.

Deletion is refused while the organization still has a live subscription, prepaid credit, running runs, or (for an agency) client workspaces. On confirmation, schedules and webhooks are turned off, members and tokens are removed, and all actors, runs, datasets and other data are deleted.

danger

Deleting an organization cannot be undone.

You cannot delete your personal account while you own an organization. Transfer ownership or delete it first.
