Billing

Every account, whether personal or an organization, has its own plan, prepaid credit and invoices. Prices are in USD, before tax. Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record: Paddle charges your card, adds the right sales tax or VAT for your country, and issues the invoice and receipt.

Compare plans publicly at lantfly.com/pricing. Once signed in, open Billing (https://lantfly.com/billing) in the Billing & usage section of the sidebar.

  • The Free plan also allows up to 100 runs per 24 hours.
  • Run storage kept: datasets, key-value stores and request queues created by a run are kept this many days after their last change. Named storages are kept until you delete them.
  • Enterprise: use Talk to sales on the pricing page or the Billing page. We reply with a custom offer.
note

You must verify your email address before you can start runs.

Yearly plans

Yearly plans are paid 12 months up front at a lower price (the toggle shows Save x%). Included usage stays monthly: it resets every month, and pay-as-you-go past it is billed each month.

Free trial

Plans with a trial need a payment method but charge nothing until the trial ends. The plan's included usage is available during the trial, but pay-as-you-go is off. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.

How usage is paid for

Every run, result and GB of proxy traffic has a cost in USD (see Usage). It is paid from, in this order:

  1. Usage included in your plan for the current month.
  2. Prepaid credit.
  3. Pay-as-you-go (paid plans only), up to your spending limit, billed to your card after the month closes.

On Free, during a trial, while a payment has failed, or after you cancel, there is no pay-as-you-go: usage past your included usage and credit can take the credit balance below zero, and new runs are refused until you add credit or upgrade.

Usage is counted when a run finishes, so while a run is waiting or running, $0.10 is held for it. An account close to its limit therefore cannot start dozens of runs at once.

The top bar shows how much you can still spend: included usage left, plus credit, plus pay-as-you-go room. It turns red when you are close to the limit.

When an account has no usage left, runs are refused with 402. See Errors.

Prepaid credit

Buy credit on Billing → Prepaid credit → Buy credit:

  • Any whole amount from $10 to $5,000 (quick picks: $10, $50, $200, $1,000). Tax is added at checkout where it applies.
  • Credit never expires.
  • Credit is used after the plan's included usage and before pay-as-you-go.

Credit history lists every purchase, charge and adjustment with the balance after each one.

Automatic top-up

Keep credit from running out: Payments & orders → Automatic top-up → Top up automatically.

FieldMeaning
When credit drops below (USD)The threshold
Add this much (USD)A whole amount within the credit range ($10–$5,000)

When your credit falls below the threshold, Lantfly charges the card of your subscription once (plus tax) and adds the credit when the payment is confirmed. There is only ever one top-up in progress.

  • Needs an active card subscription to a paid plan.
  • If the card is declined, automatic top-up turns itself off. Update the card, then turn it on again.
  • After a refund or chargeback on one of your payments, automatic top-up is paused, and the notification says so. Turn it back on yourself.

Spending limit

On paid plans, Billing → Spending limit caps pay-as-you-go for each month:

  1. Enter an Overage limit (USD): a whole number up to your plan's maximum (see the table).
  2. Click Save, or Use plan maximum to remove your own cap.

When the limit is reached, new usage is refused (runs stop). Usage already consumed is still billed. Within the current month the limit in force can only go up: lowering it stops new usage but does not cancel pay-as-you-go already used.

Change your plan

On Billing → Plans, use Upgrade, Switch, Switch to yearly or Switch to monthly. A preview shows what you pay before you confirm.

ChangeWhen it appliesWhat you pay
Upgrade (higher plan, monthly ↔ yearly)NowThe new plan for the rest of the period, minus the unused part of the current plan, plus tax. If the unused part is larger, the difference is credited to your balance for the next invoices
Same plan, monthly → yearlyNowAs an upgrade
Downgrade, or same plan yearly → monthlyEnd of the period you paid forNothing now. You keep the current plan until then
During a free trialNowNothing during the trial. The new price starts when the trial ends
  • A scheduled downgrade can be dropped with Keep current plan. An upgrade made afterwards replaces it.
  • When you upgrade mid-month, the included usage for the rest of the month goes up accordingly.
  • You cannot change plan while a payment has failed (update the card first) or while the plan is set to cancel (choose Keep my plan first).

Promo codes

When you subscribe for the first time, enter a Promo code on the plans table. A code can give a percentage or a fixed amount off, for the first payment or several periods. Promo codes do not apply to credit purchases or plan changes.

Cancel or resume

Billing → Plan → Cancel plan → Cancel at period end.

  • You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, then move to Free. Prepaid credit stays.
  • Pay-as-you-go used so far is billed right away, and pay-as-you-go is off for the rest of the period.
  • Changed your mind? Click Keep my plan before the period ends.

Payment methods

Payments & orders (https://lantfly.com/billing/payments) shows your subscription, cards and every order.

SectionWhat you can do
SubscriptionPlan, price, auto-renew or trial status, next billing date, the card it renews on, promo code end date
Payment cardsThe subscription card first, then saved cards (brand, last 4 digits, expiry, Expires soon / Expired). Update subscription card or Use another card replaces the card the plan renews on. Remove card forgets a saved card (the card a subscription renews on cannot be removed)
Next paymentAmount and date of the next renewal, discount applied, tax included

Billing → Address & tax ID opens the Paddle customer portal, where you set your billing address and tax ID.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries the card automatically. Your plan stays, but pay-as-you-go is paused until you Update payment method. In an organization, only the owner and admins can do this.

Disputed payments

If a payment is disputed (chargeback), the account is put on hold and new runs are refused with 402 billing_on_hold. Contact support to resolve it. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank.

Invoices and orders

  • Billing → Invoices: one invoice per payment, with Download PDF.
  • Payments & orders → Orders: every Paddle order (plan, credit, pay-as-you-go) with subtotal, discount, tax, total and credit added. Filter by type, status and source (checkout, renewal, automatic top-up, plan change), open a row for details, or Download CSV.
  • Billing → Usage by period: included, used and pay-as-you-go per month.

Paddle, as the seller on the invoice, also emails a receipt for every payment. Amounts are charged in USD. If you pay in another currency, the order shows it.

Refunds

Refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method. Ask at [email protected] or through the link on your Paddle receipt. In short (the refund policy is binding):

WhatRefundable
First subscription paymentIn full within 14 days, if you used less than 10% of the included usage
Yearly plan cancelled within 14 days of the first paymentMinus the usage already consumed, valued at monthly prices

Unused prepaid creditWithin 14 days of purchase. Used or free credit is not refundable
Pay-as-you-go usageNo, unless caused by an error on our side
Runs failed by a platform faultWe credit the affected usage to your account

When a payment is refunded, the credit bought with it is removed from your balance.

Billing notifications

The owner and admins get bell and email notifications when a plan starts, changes or ends, when a payment is received, when a refund is approved, when a payment fails, when the plan is about to cancel, and when credit is low or runs out. Choose channels in Notifications.

Organizations and billing permissions

  • An organization pays with its own billing email (set by the owner or admins on Team).
  • Members with billing.view see Billing in View only mode. billing.manage (owner and admins by default) is needed to subscribe, change plan, buy credit, set the spending limit or cancel. See Roles and permissions.
  • A client workspace billed to its agency shows only Billed to … and its own usage. See Agencies.
