Agencies
An agency is an organization that runs social listening (and other work) for several clients. Each client gets its own client workspace: a separate account with its own projects, data and users. You manage them all from your agency.
Agency features are turned on by Lantfly for an existing organization. Talk to sales or open a support ticket to request it. Until then, the Agency page says Not an agency account.
Switch to your agency organization and open Agency (https://lantfly.com/agency), under Workspace in the
sidebar. Only the agency's owner and admins can use it.
Client workspaces
- Agency → Client workspaces → New client.
- Enter the Client name and create it.
An agency can have up to 100 client workspaces. The list shows each client's number of projects and users and its status.
| Who | Access to a client workspace |
|---|---|
| Agency owner and admins | Appear in the account switcher automatically and work in it with the same role they have in the agency, without taking a seat |
| Agency members | No access |
| People from the client | Invite them to the workspace like any organization member, with a built-in or custom role (for example, only listening.view). They sign in with their own account |
Agency owners and admins can manage the client's team from inside the workspace (invite, change roles, remove people). They cannot delete the client workspace or transfer its ownership from inside it. Only the workspace's own owner can.
Suspend a client
Suspend makes a workspace read-only: its users can still sign in and read, but nothing can be changed
(the API answers 423 account_suspended). Its listening projects stop collecting and its schedules and report
emails pause until you turn it back on. Runs already in progress finish.
To turn it back on, set it to Active. You can do this even while working inside the suspended workspace.
Client billing
By default each client workspace pays for itself, with its own plan, credit and invoices. Agency owners and admins working in the workspace can buy for it.
The agency owner can instead bill a client to the agency: Agency → Client billing → Bill to agency.
| Mode | What happens |
|---|---|
| Bill separately (default) | The client uses its own plan, credit and limits |
| Bill to agency | The client's usage, credit and limits come from the agency's plan and are charged to the agency. The client's Billing page shows only Billed to … and its own usage |
- You can switch to Bill to agency only when the client has no subscription of its own, no unpaid invoice and a zero credit balance. Use up leftover credit, or settle a negative balance, first.
- A change applies from the next charge. Usage already charged stays where it was.
- Each client billed to the agency gets the agency plan's full limits (concurrent runs, listening projects, seats).
Spending cap per client
Owners and admins can set a Spending cap (USD) for each client: runs of that client stop when it uses that much in a billing period of the agency. Leave it empty for no cap. Like the account spending limit, it stops new runs; usage already consumed is still billed.
Client billing report
Client billing shows usage and the amount charged to the agency per client, for This period or Previous period. Use Export CSV to download it.
White-label branding
Agency → White-label branding. Your clients see this brand instead of Lantfly in the dashboard, on reports and on public report pages.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Brand name | Shown in the dashboard header and on reports |
| Logo | PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 512 KB. SVG is not accepted |
| Primary color | Pick a color |
| Report footer | Text at the foot of reports |
| Custom domain | Where shared reports and walls are served (below) |
Click Save branding.
Custom domain
Serve your clients' shared campaign reports and public walls on your own domain, for example reports.youragency.com.
-
Enter the domain in Custom domain and save.
-
At your DNS provider, add the TXT record shown on the page:
Name Type Value _lantfly-verify.<your domain>TXTlantfly-verify=<token from the page> -
Add a CNAME (or A record) for the domain pointing to Lantfly.
-
Click Verify now, or wait: Lantfly checks every hour.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending verification | The TXT record was not found yet. After 7 days it becomes Verification failed |
| Verified | Reports and walls of your agency and its clients open on https://<your domain>/ with your branding |
| Verification failed | Fix the record and verify again |
Keep the TXT record in place. A verified domain is checked again every 12 hours. After 3 failed checks in a row it stops being served, until the record is found again. Changing the domain starts verification over with a new token.
Only shared reports (/report/<token>) and walls (/wall/<token>) work on the custom domain. Sign-in and the
dashboard stay on lantfly.com. See Walls and sharing.
